Our Zambia Super League has continued to sensationally grow in Europe, and the performance of its clubs particularly Zesco United, champions in back-to-back season have not gone unnoticed outside of Africa with many Europeans now following the club.
One example of a European fan is Ross Byrne from Ireland who became interested in the club when he was in Zambia this year in June with Habitat for Humanity building houses in Ndola, Zesco United's hometown.
Ross said "I saw Zesco play Al Ahly in the CAF African Champions League which they won 3-2 and since then I have kept up to date with the team through out the season and was very disappointed with the teams exit from the Champions League last week".
Ross added " Hopefully Zesco will retain the league title and move onto greater things next year".
Ross who regularly follows social media to update himself ended by saying that he was looking forward to owning a Zesco United replica jersey and was disappointed that their were none available at the stadium and said that he would like to watch Zesco live in future.
